Monthly Spotlight July 2022:The Mental Health Coalition

For July’s spotlight we chose to highlight and donate to The Mental Health Coalition! The Mental Health Coalition is a coalition of “the most passionate and influential organizations, brands, and individuals who have joined forces to end the stigma surrounding mental health, and to change the way people talk about and care for mental illness.” Some of their partners include The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), The Jed Foundation, Bring Change to Mind (BC2M), Mental Health America (MHA),  The National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), and more. Their site is all inclusive and highlights resources and their ally-ship for not only the mental health community in general, but the BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQ+ and Black communities as well. The Mental Health Coalition believes that in order to end the stigma of mental illness, we must first act to end the silence towards mental health. To do this, we must  engage, educate, and provide resources for the community to “inspire hope at this essential moment.” Join us as we stand with the Mental Health Coalition to speak up and end the silence and stigma surrounding mental health and mental illness.
