Monthly Spotlight: Asian Mental Health Collective

It is May, which is both Mental Health Awareness Month and Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Because of this, we chose to highlight and donate to the Asian Mental Health Collective (AMHC) this month. Their mission is to normalize and de-stigmatize mental health in the Asian community. AMHC’s vision is “to make mental health easily available, approachable, and accessible to Asian communities worldwide” (AMHC). This is especially important due to Asian Diaspora, which is often strongly grounded in mental health experiences that go unaddressed. Mental health is real, your feelings are valid, and generational trauma is prevalent. We support the Asian Mental Health Collective in their mission to help bridge those divides, by having difficult conversations while not suppressing culture and traditions. If you check out their website, we strongly recommend you read over their Mental Health FAQ as it provides detailed information regarding mental health and mental illness. Stand with us as we support the Asian Mental Health Collective.
